Waste Separation with Entrepreneurs
Together with the entrepreneurs inside Markthal, we separate various waste streams, including:
- Residual waste
- Paper and cardboard
- Styrofoam
- PMD (plastic, cans, and drink cartons)
- Frying oil
- Glass
- Swill (vegetable and coffee waste)
- Small hazardous waste such as batteries
These carefully separated waste streams can be recycled directly or processed correctly, minimizing the amount of waste and maximizing reuse.
Accessible Bins for Visitors
For our visitors, we have placed bins at strategic locations throughout Markthal. The waste is monitored and managed daily, allowing us to efficiently contribute to a cleaner environment while maximizing our sustainability policy.
