Waste Management

By carefully separating waste residues, we can have them recycled immediately afterwards. Together with the entrepreneurs within the Markthal, we separate various waste streams including residual waste, paper/cardboard, polystyrene, PMD (plastic, cans and drink cartons), frying fat, glass, swill (vegetable and coffee residues) and small hazardous waste such as batteries. This ensures that we can reuse as much waste as possible or process it in the right way.

For our visitors, waste bins are placed at strategic locations in the Markthal, where waste can be thrown in. This waste is monitored and managed daily, so that we continue to contribute efficiently and effectively to a cleaner environment and maximizing our sustainability policy.
