RotjeKoor festival at Markthal

On Saturday 13 June, the Markthal will be more vibrant than ever. As you stroll past the colourful stalls, taking in everything there is to see and enjoy, a new choir will perform every half hour, filling the hall with fresh energy and surprising harmonies. A musical journey around the world, right in the midst of the colours, flavours and all the delights that make the Markthal so irresistible.

We begin at 11:00 with the young vocal talents of Het Speelhuis: small, brave and full of musicality. Next, the African choir Kioso Kuywenda takes you along in warm rhythms and powerful harmonies. And that’s only the beginning. Expect pop choirs that breathe new life into your favourite hits, as well as an international choir that sends world music rolling through the Markthal.

RotjeKoor in the Markthal is a celebration for all your senses. Let yourself be captivated by the voices, immerse yourself in the unique surroundings and discover the most surprising stalls along the way. Come listen, look, taste and enjoy.
